Three top communications pros come together to form The Solutions Group

GREENVILLE, SC – Bringing together nearly 90 years of experience in the fields of strategic marketing, public relations, governmental affairs, media relations and crisis communications, three of South Carolina’s premier communications professionals have come together to form The Solutions Group.

The Solutions Group has been created to serve as conduit for local and state agencies that are being tasked with properly implementing the $2.5 billion in federal money coming into the state as part of the American Recovery Act.

John Boyanoski of Complete PR, Chip Felkel of The Felkel Group/RAP Index and Rosylin Weston, of RA Weston Communications are combing their considerable skills in this effort. The trio still will be running their separate companies, but this is a project to bring together and help serve the state.

"This collaboration is built on integrity and trust, and we are excited about the opportunity to work across diverse sectors to improve the quality of life for all South Carolinians,” Boyanoski said.

The Solutions Group will be working with a diverse group of clients to maneuver the often-challenging areas of communications, Weston said. These will range from state agencies to lawmakers to local governments to utilities to private companies

“Even those with an in-house communications department would benefit from working with this seasoned team of professionals,” she said.

A key part of the group’s success stems from its experience.

As founder of the Felkel Group, and of RAP Index, an influence assessment platform, Felkel brings over three decades of experience counseling senior leadership, C-suite executives and candidates as they negotiate the challenges of political engagement, issue management and communications. Felkel is a veteran of three presidential campaigns and hundreds of state and local races, high profile-high risk public policy battles as well as numerous crisis management challenges. He is regularly sought by national media outlets for his perspective and comment.

Weston is a well-seasoned public relations strategist with extensive media and community relations experience. She has spent almost three decades handling community engagement, media and governmental relations in the areas of healthcare and public transportation. She served as the Vice President of Communications and Chief Spokesperson for one of South Carolina's largest airports before forming her own company RA Weston Communications. Her knowledge of transit and local government and her media relations skills are unsurpassed.

Boyanoski uses his knowledge of the media industry and his constant desire to learn more to help guide clients through all of their media relations needs. He has served as chairman of The Greenville Zoo Foundation, Rebuild Upstate and the Greenville Chamber’s PULSE Advisory Council while also serving on the boards of The Children’s Museum of the Upstate (secretary), The Greenville Chamber Board of Advisors and the South Carolina Small Business Development Board (Upstate), Junior Achievement, the Laurens Road Corridor Group and Greenville 2040. He was named one of Greenville's Best and Brightest in 2012; is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 40 and a graduate of the Greenville Health System Medical Scholar program. He was named the Greenville Chamber's 2014 Young Professional of the Year. He is the author of four books including Reimagining Greenville.

“This is a team that can help guide a better South Carolina,” Felkel said.
