The Commons to host five-year anniversary celebration

The Commons, a popular food hall in Greenville’s Unity Park, is celebrating its five-year anniversary on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from noon to 6 p.m. The event features offerings from both long-standing and new food vendors, live music performances, family-friendly activities, all-day giveaways, and complementary anniversary t-shirts for the first 25 guests.

The celebration will showcase The Commons’ diverse array of eateries, including new tenants LaRue Fine Chocolates & Ice Cream, Indigo Kitchen, MooHogz Craft BBQ, and Kuka Juice, who join original favorites Automatic Taco, GB&D, The Community Tap, and Methodical Coffee.

Several vendors are offering unique items for the event, such as Kuka Juice’s limited edition “Party Punch.” Attendees can also enjoy a sneak peek of incoming tenant Paseo, which will be serving paella on the back patio.

Family-friendly activities include face painting and balloon twisting. The event also features a lineup of five musicians throughout the day:

  • 12:30 PM: Taylor Corum

  • 1:45 PM: Karen Clardy

  • 3:00 PM: Moonshine State

  • 4:15 PM: Andrew Wakefield

  • 5:30 PM: Darby Wilcox

Since opening in 2019, The Commons has become a central part of Greenville’s Unity Park, bringing together many of the city’s most celebrated food and drink vendors in a space dedicated to community and connection.

Drew Parker, co-founder of The Commons, reflected on the milestone saying, “Five years ago, we envisioned creating a vibrant community hub showcasing Greenville’s culinary talent. Today, The Commons stands as a testament to that vision and our community’s incredible support. We’re proud of what we’ve built together and are excited for the future.”

The celebration follows a recent partnership announcement with Aston, a major retail owner in the Greenville area.

Barnes Connell, Aston Managing Director, commented: “We’re thrilled to be part of this five-year celebration of The Commons. This event perfectly captures the vibrant community spirit that has made The Commons such a beloved destination in Greenville. We look forward to supporting its continued success and growth in the years to come.”
