Stantec, a leading global design and engineering firm, has welcomed three professionals to its Transportation and Community Development practices in Columbia and Greenville.
Alexander Barr (pictured) has joined Stantec’s Columbia office as a Transportation Engineer in its Transportation practice. He brings more than four years of experience in transportation engineering. He is well-versed with roadway design, intersection improvements, and traffic safety. He has experience working with software packages such as MicroStation, Geopak, AutoTurn, and Synchro. Alexander is a Columbia resident and a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
Michele Ziehl has joined Stantec’s Columbia office as a Structural Engineer in its Transportation practice. She brings more than seven years of experience in bridge design, bridge inspection services, and related transportation research. She is well-versed with reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, and steel design, and has designed a variety of bridges across the Southeast including both new construction and widenings. She has experience working with software packages such as LEAP Concrete Bridge Suite, AASHTOWare BrR, BRASS, Merlin-DASH, STAAD.Pro, and CSI Bridge.
Michele is a Columbia resident and a graduate of University of Texas at Austin (MS) and Marquette University (BS).
Jena Aranibar has joined Stantec’s Greenville office as a Civil Engineer in its Community Development practice. She brings more than two years of engineering experience in both structural restoration and construction administration. She is well-versed with preparing construction documents, conducting site visits, and performing design calculations. She has experience working with AutoCAD and its extended software packages. Jena is a Greenville resident since moving from Florida in 2021, and she is a graduate of Florida State University (undergraduate) and University of South Florida (graduate).
