Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas promotes Katie Clark and adds Stewart McCain

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Carolinas is pleased to announce the promotion of Katie Clark as the new Events and Social Media Manager. In addition, the House has added Stewart McCain to the team as the new Volunteer and Communications Coordinator.

Clark previously held the role of Volunteer and Communications Coordinator for the House for a year and a half. In her new role she will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of event management for RMHC of the Carolinas’ six signature events. In addition, she will drive social media strategy and messaging to spread awareness about the House’s mission. McCain previously worked as a Development and Events Intern for the House in the summer of 2020 and will carry on her new fulltime role as the Volunteer and Communications Coordinator as the House begins to open up to volunteers.

“We are pleased to promote Katie in this new role and add Stewart to the team,” said Marti Spencer, CEO/Executive Director of RMHC of the Carolinas. “Katie has been with the House for a few years going from an intern to her newly expanded role. She has the proven work experience to manage our events as we grow. Stewart is a wonderful addition, who also worked with us as an intern last summer. As a graduate of Clemson and an Alpha Delta Pi Alumni, Stewart has a great passion for our House and mission. We look forward to seeing her work with volunteers here at the House.”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at RMHCC for the past two years,” said Clark. “From assisting with our largest fundraiser’s auction to implementing a new Teen Leadership Board, I am thrilled to take on this new role as Events and Social Media Manager.”

“From volunteering to intern at RMHCC, I always knew I wanted to be involved in some capacity at the House,” said McCain. “It is so meaningful to be able to do a job that works closely with volunteers and people who also share a passion for RMHCC’s mission.”

Clark received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Business Administration from Furman University and loves living in the Upstate with access to amazing hiking trails. Stewart received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Communications from Clemson University and in her free time she enjoys cooking, spending time with family and attending Clemson football games.

About RMHC® of the Carolinas:

RMHC of the Carolinas’ mission is to keep families with critically ill or injured children close to each other and the care and resources they need in our community; while providing a home filled with hope, encouragement and comfort. We find and support programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children. Since 1989, the Chapter has provided support to more than 11,000 families through the Ronald McDonald House program. More than a room, the House serves as a quiet place for families to be alone or as a place of companionship, sharing and emotional support with other families who are also caring for a sick child being treated at nearby medical facilities.
