Mural designed by artist Lacey Hennessey brings new inspiration to the Poinsett Corridor
Pillar Holistic Living, a new holistic wellness concept, recently unveiled the newest public work of art for Greenville—a mural by artist Lacey Hennessey, a traveling muralist who has built a huge following on social media by showing off her talent. The mural can be seen at 9 Mulligan Street in Greenville.
Commissioned by Pillar owners Dr. Jessica and Brian Caruso, the mural represents aspects of the Carusos’ life and business. An antelope—homage to a plant-based lifestyle—appears with three purple finches, representing the Caruso family and their origins in New Hampshire, while butterfly wings allude to constant change. Above a painted swing lies the quote, “One small change can have an enormous impact.” A time-lapse video of the mural can be seen on Instagram.
The mural is the latest in a number of changes and renovations to the Poinsett Corridor property, whose interior design is based on Scandinavian architecture and biophilic elements, intended to provide a sense of “hygge” (pronounced hoo-ga), a Danish concept for the feeling of cozy contentment and well-being.
Brought to life by the Carusos, Pillar Holistic Living aims to be a “one-stop shop” for holistic health and low-force chiropractic care, and will include workshops and wellness classes, an on-site apothecary and boutique with eco-friendly, sustainable products and plant-based foods through a self-serve micro-market.
Pillar Holistic Living will be opening December 1, 2022, to the public.
