Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. announced that shareholder J. Philip Land has been named to the advisory board of the Japan-America Association of South Carolina (JAASC).
JAASC promotes positive relationships between South Carolina and Japan through social, educational and cultural exchanges that benefit the state’s business community and residents. Philip will work with other JAASC leaders to organize events and facilitate offshore investments into South Carolina.
Philip is a business attorney who represents company owners, real estate developers, investment funds and international businesses. He provides outside corporate counsel services to international manufacturers and works with clients on mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, tax planning strategies and business entity structuring. Greenville Business Magazine included Philip in its “Legal Elite of the Upstate” list last year, honoring the attorney for his work in international law, mergers and acquisitions and securities law.
