Greenville Theatre kicks off season 98 with Monty Python’s Spamalot

Greenville Theatre is excited to open Season 98 with the 2005 Tony Award-Winning Best Musical, Monty Python’s Spamalot.

This hilarious musical tells the story of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they go on a quest to find the Holy Grail. Based on the classic comedic movie, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, this satirical musical is written by original Monty Python member Eric Idle featuring The Lady of the Lake, a dancing ensemble of misfits, and the classic story of King Arthur – all told with a Monty Python musical Twist!

This hilarious cast is led by Evan Harris as King Arthur, Kimberly Camacho as The Lady of the Lake and features Carter Allen, Andrew Anderson, Rick Connor, John Garrison, and Craig Smith as the Knights of the Round Table. The show is Directed by Greenville Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director, Max Quinlan and Choreographed by New York based artist, Elyn Collier.

“As a lifelong fan of Monty Python, the opportunity to bring this show to Greenville Theatre is a thrill,” proclaimed King Arthur himself, actor Evan Harris. “This adaptation is so well done because it manages to take the brilliant Holy Grail film and put a hilarious musical twist on it. Playing this character has been one of the great highlights of my career and I can’t wait to share the lunacy with everyone.”

“I am thrilled to be performing in Greenville Theatre’s production of Spamalot,” states actor Carter Allen. “I grew up loving Monty Python’s work and Spamalot is one of my favorite musicals of all time! The cast, crew, and creative team are exceptional, and everyone is going to have such a good time at this show!”

Tickets go on sale to the public August 21st. Ticket prices are $40 Adults and $38 Seniors and Veterans. Student rush tickets are also available the day of the show for just $20. This production is rated 16+ for language and mature content.
