FUEL–a Greenville-based marketing agency offering a full suite of strategy, creative, branding, advertising, and PR services–announced today that it has selected GirlUp GVL as its second quarter recipient for the FUEL for Good 2021 Quarterly Grant program.
Launched in January 2020, the FUEL for Good Quarterly Grant program dedicates three months and $10,000 worth of pro bono marketing services to a local nonprofit organization each quarter. To date, FUEL has awarded the grant to six organizations, all selected by FUEL teammates from nearly 100 applications submitted.
“Our goal is to have a positive impact on the community through assisting local nonprofits in developing and implementing marketing strategies that further their mission,” said Warren Griffith, FUEL CEO. “We’re honored to work with GirlUp GVL and look forward to assisting them in telling their compelling story to raise awareness and, ultimately, attract donor support and partnerships to sustain their invaluable programs.”
GirlUp GVL is a local nonprofit that provides free after-school and summer programming, devoted to developing young women in under-resourced communities. GirlUp GVL is filling a great need for middle and high school girls facing systemic barriers to success such as– instability in the home, socioeconomic factors, limited opportunities and achievement gaps within education. Through GirlUp GVL’s desire to enrich and empower each girl’s life, programming includes, but is not limited to tutoring, mentoring, group discussions, field trips, life and leadership skills classes, and college and job readiness. GirlUp GVL’s greatest desire is to help these young women realize their true worth and value and work towards reaching their full potential.
“We are beyond grateful to receive this grant and to have the FUEL team sharing their gifts and talents with us,” said Kim Mogan, GirlUp GVL executive director. “We can’t wait for their help telling GirlUp GVL’s story in the community.” To learn more about GirlUp GVL, visit www.girlupgvl.org.
