Courtney Tessler of Jewish Federation earns award

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Courtney Tessler, the first CEO in the history of the Greenville Jewish Federation, has been honored by Greenville Business Magazine as an SC Women in Business honoree.

The SC Women in Business Awards are for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and organizations they run and those who are making a difference. This prestigious award honors select businesswomen across South Carolina based on career achievements, contributions to their company, and community involvement.

With an extensive background in organizational leadership, non-profit service and a passion for her Jewish community, Tessler was hired last summer to lead the organization's efforts  to strengthen the Upstate’s vibrant Jewish community through the support of educational programs, social services,  cultural events, and advocacy efforts that promote Jewish values, heritage, and unity.

“This reward reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire team of volunteers and partners of the Greenville Jewish Federation,” Tessler said. “I am honored to be recognized because of that tremendous support.”
