Colliers | South Carolina’s Brantley Anderson, CCIM, Taylor Allen, SIOR, CCIM and Bailey Tollison represented both the tenant and the landlord in Upstate South Carolina Alliance’s lease of a new 5,382-square-foot office headquarters at Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR).
Upstate SC Alliance’s new office will be located at 3 Research Drive in the CU-ICAR complex. Constructed in 2011, the LEED Silver-Certified building offers modern spaces, a tenant lounge and café, a fitness center, an outdoor landscaped park and a rooftop terrace.
“The collaborative, public-private atmosphere of CU-ICAR is one of many assets we share to showcase how the Upstate meets industry success, uniting research, workforce development and corporate presences,” said John Lummus, President & CEO of the Upstate SC Alliance. “It’s a great, central location for welcoming business leaders to the Upstate as they tour the region and explore how their companies can prosper here.”
Formed in 2000, the Upstate South Carolina Alliance is a public/private regional economic development organization designed to market and promote the dynamic, commerce-rich, northwestern corner of South Carolina. Its mission is to position the Upstate to excel in the global economy through strategic marketing, collaboration and thought leadership. The Alliance works as a team with local economic developers, investors and the South Carolina Department of Commerce to move business forward in the Upstate.
Founded in 2007, CU-ICAR is an advanced-technology research campus where education, research and economic development collaborate to create a global venue for the automotive industry.
