BASF in Converse donates $3,000 to Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office for life-saving kits

SENECA, SC, May 5, 2023 – BASF in Converse recently donated $2,000 to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, which will pay for 124 Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) kits—one for every patrol officer and open patrol position – aimed at saving lives in the community and officer lives. The kits include chest seals to protect gunshot wounds, a clotting agent to help stop bleeding, scissors to cut through clothes and other barriers so officers can check for wounds and tape for injuries.

BASF in Converse also donated $1,000 to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office for the Chaplains Benevolence Fund, which provides financial assistance by distributing resources in addressing the many needs of over 350 deputies that protect and serve the citizens of Spartanburg County. Some of these needs include bereavement counseling, disability support, financial assistance, pastoral care to those involved in critical incidents, and supporting fellowship among the officers of SCSO.

BASF in Converse is currently hiring production technicians. Pay starts at $19.50/hour, with more for experience. Learn more and apply at www.basf.us/sc.
